ANNUAL OUT OF THE HAT FESTIVAL
The Out of the Hat Festival is a two day annual event where playwrights, directors, and actors work together to create brand new plays within 24-hours in a fun competition. Plays are about 10 minutes or so in length and cohere to a theme/setting. Pieces are written the night before the festival day, and directors/actors rehearse the same day that the show goes up. Stage manager(s) and a dramaturg are on stand-by during rehearsals as well to assist with play development.
